DECAYING VALUES

GUJAR KHAN: It is a well known fact that all the
civilizations and socities of the world are identified by their values. These are the values that can be divided in
different sections like moral values religious values, social values, ethnic values and so on. Here
the point to be discussed is Moral Values in our society. Our society is known as Islamic society.Islam is the religion of ‘salvation’, peace, love
and brotherhood .It is also the religion of Tolerance, forgiveness and respecting the rights,
lives and respects of others. It also gives a universal lesson of rights and duties and
how they should be cared.Now the question is to which extent we have got
all these and so many others. It is sorry to say that the answer is in negative. If we take a glimpse
of our great passion . There are hovering clouds of avarice and lasciviousness .these
are in form of love for wealth, power and sex but no love for fellow beings and even for living beings
The another diminishing value of our society is ‘peace’. It was the hallmark of our society that it
was known as a great society of peace not only for
friends but for foes as well. It is our religion that is named as’ Islam’ because it gives the lesson
of ‘Salamity’ means salvation .But what a ‘Tragic Dilemma’ it is that now our beloved religion linked
and referred to terrorism ,violence and extremism.
It is the real decay of our values that we have spoilt the fair name of our prestigious
religion for our humble and trivial purposes. Now we find there is no peace either in
our lives or in our mind and souls. The solid reason for such anxieties, irritations, agitations,
disruptions and confusions is ignorance and remoteness from
