Mohammad Ijaz Khan was born in the
District of Sid Hanutee, Plandree, Azaad Kashmir in 1971. He got his
early education from his native city. At the age of 20
he migrated to Gujar Khan in 1991. He hired a shop in the suburb of
the city. There he started the business of sewing school bags. In
1994 he hired a shop in Halwai Gali, the busy street of the city.
There he extended his business. Now he sews school and college bags,
ladies purse, suit cases, leather jackets and every sort of covers.
He has two sewing machines in his shop. He uses canvas tarpaulin
(sheet), parachute
and leather for sewing purposes. He has opened a factory in his
small shop. There he manufactures bags and purse of every sort in
his mini factory. He is the
pioneer of sewing school/college bags in Gujar Khan. He has led a
new tradition in Gujar Khan. No one else he ever prepared bags. He
claims that he can sew
bags/purse of any design in the world. He’s been running his shop
in Halwai Gali since 1994 to Date. In his assiduous work he is
accompanied with his younger brother, Mushtaq Ahmed.
When Ijaz Khan set his foot in Gujar Khan, he was not known by
anyone. He underwent different sorts of works to establish himself.
With the passage of time he has earned a good fame in the city. In
1994 there was only his shop in the city now there are three more
shops. These shops are the branches of his own established
business. These can aptly be said small factories where every kind
of bags and purses are manufactured.
